Today Nate had to go to the emergency room in Tacoma to get a 2 inch gash under his eye sewn up. A closet door fell off its hinges and got him. I took out the crappy doors and will install wooden folding doors for the bedrooms.

Had to blog about this past month and a half. Been a little rough with a tree falling on Kayy’s van, a water pipe that burst in our garage, and finally a bad windstorm that knocked out power and heat to our house.

Alright, I know it has been a while, but I am going to make myself start blogging every day. There is so much to share. It stinks that I have not kept up with this.

One major section that I want to add is “The crazy stuff my boys do”. This topic should provide more than enough material to fill up my blog.

Just a quick note for me that the Propane tank got filled up today. Of all the things that we have to keep an eye on is our propane bill. Lots of windows in a big house = big gas bills.

I started doing some conservation efforts to save money. Looks like it is working. Our gas lasted longer this time, about 45 days. The previous fill up lasted about 27 days!

In an effort to get the word out about Edigitize services I have come up with a strategy to employ Sales Agents. The ideal Sales Agent would work from home utilizing their own computer and telephone. They would use our systems to get their leads and track all interactions.

Base compensation is $6/20 phone calls = $960/month if you consider that 20 calls should be made in an hours time. 10% of signups gross sales will be paid for the first 3 months. After the 3 months and ongoing 5% commission will be paid.

On average each customer spends $156.00 per month with us.
10% of 156 = $15
5% 0f 156 = $7.80

So lets say you have 5 customers that spend $156/month
10%= $75 commissions
5% = $39 commissions

So lets say you have 10 customers that spend $156/month
10%= $150 commissions
5% = $78 commissions

So lets say you have 20 customers that spend $156/month
10%= $300 commissions
5% = $156 commissions

So lets say you have 40 customers that spend $156/month
10%= $600 commissions
5% = $312 commissions

This could really start to add up. There is an endless amount of people to call on.

Let me know if you know anyone interested.

I just have too much to do. I will have to put this idea on hold for a little while. Need to focus on some work deadlines and chores around the house.

Stay tuned.

My good friend and business partner Jeff Foster is out in Port Orchard for work. Port Orchard is about 20 minutes from where we live. He came to our house with a co-worker on Wednesday night for dinner and some long overdue Edigitize discussions.

Karry made a delicious meal including pot roast, mashed potatos, veggies, salad, and rolls.

We got quite a bit discussed in my home office that has my old Edigitize office furniture in it. Jeff made himself quite comfortable in the “Edigitize Chair”.

I cant wait to implement some of our plans including a Edigitize blog!

Whew, what a tuff week. I got a sinus infection about 8 days ago and have been miserable. What is worse is that Karry got one too about the same time. What a pair we are with deep scratchy voices and pounding headaches. Not the best situation with 4 noisey kids around the house.

My youngest son has reached his first birthday. What an accomplishment. I cant believe a whole year has gone by. We are so blessed to have such a healthy and happy baby.

Here are some things that Noah likes:

  1. Mommy
  2. Eating “real” food. He has never really done bottle feeding, and does not like jar baby food. He will eat just about anything. He wants what everyone else is eating, and he wants his first!
  3. Crawling and exploring the entire house
  4. Going for rides to take Ashley to school and to the store.
  5. Snuggling when he is sleepy, then once asleep he likes his bed.
  6. Sneaking into his big sisters room and making a mess!

Here are some things that he does not like:

  1. Sharing toys with Nate.
  2. Being by himself. He likes to be social.

We will celebrate today with a birthday dinner and cake.

For those of you that dont know already, my family and I have moved to the pacific northwest (Tacoma, WA) area for my new job. I am a part of a great group of guys that builds stage demos for Microsoft, using their brand new technologies.

Anyway, I started working on my 3rd WPF app yesterday. I am amazed at how much I still dont know about this platform. Today I got stuck trying to figure out how to make a horizontal listbox versus a vertical one. Fun Fun Fun.
